In the aftermath of the 121st birth anniversary, in the column From the Register to History, we published the birth certificate of Emilio Segrè (1905-1989), a naturalized U.S.-born Italian physicist and member of the Via Panisperna group. He discovered technetium and antiproton, making crucial contributions to our understanding of the structure of matter. For the broad scope of his research, he received the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1959.
