From May 19 to 21, 2026, the annual GARR conference will take place, the national network dedicated to the world of education, research, and culture. The event will be a moment of discussion and sharing of experiences on the evolution of digital infrastructures and services for the academic and scientific community.
The 2026 edition, titled The Shape of Change. Between Digital Ethics and Shared Roots , proposes a reflection on the ongoing transformations in the field of digital technologies and knowledge infrastructures. At the center of the debate are topics such as digital autonomy, ethics and law of artificial intelligence, system resilience, sustainability, historical memory, and new frontiers of scientific research. An opportunity for dialogue between technological innovation and cultural heritage, in a context characterized by profound social, economic, and geopolitical changes.
On May 21, a presentation dedicated to the Ancestors Portal is scheduled, titled The Portale Antenati and New Technologies: Stories and Data Take Voice.
